Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions are agreed between The German Connection Ely (the company) and the person or persons detailed (the customer)
1/ No description of the goods, other than that shown in the current literature by the company, will be binding upon the company unless set out in writing and signed by a company official.
2/ Due to the company’s policy of continued improvements to the goods supplied, it reserves the right to alter the specifications in an improved manner. Should any part or appliance become unavailable, the company will replace it with an equal grade and value item.
3/ The company will do its best to deliver goods on time. However, it is understood no responsibility for any loss caused to any delay will be apportioned to the company. Delivery dates are approximate and is not a fundamental part of the contract.
4/ It is understood that the customer is satisfied that the goods contracted for are suitable for the purpose for which they are intended.
5/ It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the structure of the premises is suitable for the instillation of the goods.
6/ The company requires a 50% deposit to be paid on order, with the balance due 7 days prior to delivery/collection. No goods will be released without full payment.
7/ All goods remain the property of the company until paid for in full.
8/ All Nolte products carry a 5-year guarantee, excluding fair wear and tear, mis-use, neglect and willful damage, provided full payment has been made. Any furniture found to be of faulty material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the company’s discretion and subject to availability. This guarantee is non-transferable. The original invoice will need to be produced. All and any appliances and worktop surfaces provided will be subject to the manufactures standard guarantee for the period determined by the respective manufactures.
9/ When goods are sold on a “Supply Only” basis, the customer is responsible for checking that all the goods and dimensions are correct and will fit in the planned area. No responsibility will be accepted by the company should the items not fit.
10/ If delivery and/or fitting is required, it will be charged for over and above the original contract price. The company is not responsible for any delays of any nature. Should any items be unavailable at the time of the main delivery, no liability for any delays will be accepted by the company.
11/ It is understood that any natural materials provided may have shading, texture and other variations. Variations must be considered as an inherent feature and will not be regarded as defects. This is particularly true of wood and granite.
12/ The company reserves the right to withdraw from this contract at any time if, in its opinion, the supply would not be practical or viable. Obviously, any money would be refunded in full.
13/ In the event of the customer withdrawing from this contract the following charges apply:
a. Administrations charge £150 in all cases.
b. If goods are ordered by company – 50% of contract value.
c. If goods received and ready for delivery – 85% of contract value.
14/ VAT will be calculated at the prevailing rate on date of invoice.
15/ No materials will be supplied other than those which are set out in the contract. Any additions or variations required will be quoted for and charged as appropriate and will be the subject of a separate contract and will not be deemed to form part of the original contract.
